I’m Alyssa! (or Lyss) and i’m the owner/anime artist at Phantom Tattoo. I’ve been tattooing for about 4 years now but have been drawing anime characters since I was young. I was always obsessed with 90s/2000’s classics as a kid. My clients know when i’m not tattooing, i’m spending my time creating art, playing Baldurs Gate 3, or at a concert!
However, my passion for all things anime, gaming and kawaii exceeds everything else and i’m absolutely stoked I get to share it with such cool people. I love hearing your ideas, why you resonate with these characters and what some of your favorite moments in manga or games are. I started Phantom Tattoo with the client in mind. A safe space that feels like home. I can’t wait to meet you and I can’t wait to give you a tattoo you’ll love! 
Meet Devon
Apprentice, rising artist, and the protégé mastering the dark aesthetic in Kansas City.
I’m Devon, I’m a huge anime fan, metal enthusiast and tattoo apprentice being mentored by Alyssa. I got started with art seriously about 2 years ago learning how to create designs for shirts as a hobby. Unsatisfied with what I could do on a computer, I decided to learn how to draw. I started with mainly anime and cartoons but developed a passion for abstract blackwork, lettering and dark art. Through learning more, I developed a passion for tattooing. I love the chaos of heavy black work and high contrast designs along with the sharpness and precision that lettering brings.
Drawing is a daily thing for me and I love being inspired by so many other styles, artists, and even music I listen to. I’m hoping to not only expand my skills to other styles, but I also want to bring my art and other peoples ideas to life. I’ve always enjoyed meeting new people and building relationships. I look foward to continuing to build and expand the amazing culture that Alyssa has established at Phantom with more amazing clients!
